We are currently seeking enthusiastic, accountable associates for part-time WEEKEND ONLY production work. Scheduled for Saturday & Sunday ONLY, $16 per hour working 6:00am to 6:00pm...2- 12hr shifts and then you have Monday - Friday OFF. Responsibilities

Join a team making safety critical steering columns for Toyota utilizing state of the art automated robotic technology. This position assembles automotive steering columns and/or sub-assemblies in a climate controlled work environment following written specifications as noted below:

Works in line or areas, where tasks vary as part moves along line, assembling specific parts and passing unit to another Team Member
• Rotates work stations as needed (ergonomic) to maintain line efficiency and reduce fatigue factor


• Loads and unloads previously setup machines such as automated assembly machines, machining centers, boring machines, lathes, hydraulic presses, riveters, u-joint machines, robotic welders or inspection tables to perform fastening, force fitting, welding, machining or metal working operations on assembly line


• Conduct product quality checks and record results per quality system documents


• Conduct process changeovers as needed using changeover standard operating procedures (SOP)


• Performs process adjustments to assure conformance of product to established standards


• Perform daily 4S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Sustain) at the end of shift


• Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits and incomplete welds


• Verify specified dimensions of product or material per quality standard


• Follow all abnormal part handling rules


• Adheres to all Health and Safety guidelines as well as all other NSK policies


• Regular attendance is pertient; additional voluntary hours may be available to work M-F.

Qualifications

-High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

-Previous manufacturing experienced preferred but not required

-While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand 12 hours a shift. The associate is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, hand, or feel; and talk to hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit and reach with arms and hands. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift/or move up to 40lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
