Job Description:

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Director of Automation & Performance Testing to join our Production team in Union, New Jersey.


Job Summary: The Director of Automation & Performance Testing will be responsible for transformation and modernization of automation testing including strategy, framework design and delivery. The Lead will manage 4-5 resources (onsite and offshore) to successfully deliver on all automation and performance testing commitments across multiple ongoing projects.


Skills Required for Test Automation include the following:



  • Collaborate with project teams to strategic and align long term solution for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework and approach

  • Must have working knowledge of Software QA processes, methodologies, analysis, etc.

  • Strong in multiple technologies with ability to build real-time automation solutions to test high volume data quality at UI, API/Messaging layer and Databases.

  • Automation of regression test suites for all projects and connect with the CI/CD pipeline for on-demand execution through multiple channels.

  • Responsible for managing the workload of the automation team besides day-to-day management.

  • Should have working experience in Open Source java based frameworks – Selenium, Appium, BDD framework – Cucumber including test/defect management tools like Jira and Azure Test Plan.

  • Past experience working with Agile projects and DevOps.

  • Ability to articulate the benefits of automation and monthly publication of ROI to project teams.

Skills Required for Performance Testing include the following:



    • Work with business and project teams to understand and clarify performance test requirements and scenarios.

    • Develop and implement performance tests based on technical architecture and UI/UX requirements.

    • Articulate the performance test plan to the vendors where necessary and manage the overall delivery of test suites.

    • Responsible for the end to end planning of performance testing including environments, scenarios, script delivery and execution.

    • Develop reusable performance scripts by using different tools & technologies to primarily execute over the Web UI.

    • Execute system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.

    • Ability to execute Root Cause Analysis to determine performance bottlenecks and work with the project teams for performance tuning.
