Position Description:

Support the Retail Manager with visual merchandising and all other merchandise functions throughout all 3 retail outlets. This includes making product recommendations and assisting with selection, meeting with vendors, visual merchandising, sell-through analysis, ordering, stocking, and Team Member training.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years retail experience
  • Minimum 2 years of visual merchandising and/or buying experience.
  • Experience in report & data analysis required; Inventory & Sell-Thru Reports.
  • Experience in creating and designing visual displays preferred.
  • Experience working with a variety of product categories preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel for retail trade shows, conventions, etc.

Essential Functions:


  • Assist Retail Manager with selecting/buying merchandise for all retail outlets.
  • Vendor relations; seek, build, maintain successful vendor relationships and accounts.
  • Meet regularly with vendor sales representatives.
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable on industry and product/category specific trends.
  • Attend shows, markets, and conventions throughout the year as needed.
  • Collaborate and meet regularly with the Retail Coordinators, Stock Associates, and Retail Manager
  • Work with Retail Coordinators to ensure timeliness of merchandise ordering and delivery.
  • Work with Stock Coordinator to ensure timely and efficient processing and stocking of merchandise.
  • Visual merchandising, floor/window sets; strategy, planning, development/design, execution.
  • Replenishment; ensure merchandise that is sold-thru/out, is replenished in a timely manner.
  • Inventory management; maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory process.
  • Provide training and development to all retail Team Members on visual merchandising standards and assist Retail Manager in holding them accountable to these standards.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:


  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs. or more
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
  • Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to maneuver around office and casino areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues
