Job Description Summary: Swinerton Renewable Energy (SRE) & SOLV are the largest solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services provider in North America. The PV System Modeling Engineer 1 reports to the Performance Engineering Manager and is responsible in the overseeing the day to day PV system modeling requirements during design, construction and commissioning on all utility scale solar power plant projects operated and maintained by SOLV across the U.S. This position is team oriented, fast paced and responsible for the coordination and completion of the assigned projects.
Job Description:
Internal
Generate and evaluate PV system energy models for Utility Scale Solar PV Projects using PVsyst or other modeling softwares during all phases of EPC
Work with outside engineering firms for the preparation of energy models based on provided electrical sets
Perform and track different simulations for each project in the PVSyst
Assist Performance Team in day-to-day coordination of EPC projects
Stresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working
Provide excellence and consistency in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with the client's expectations
Works to create a culture of continuous improvement
Assist Performance Team in commissioning and testing activities of EPC jobs
Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes
Innovate, and solve challenging technical problems with a positive, solution-oriented approach
Champion diversity and inclusion as an unconscious part of SRE culture

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
College degree in related technical field preferred.
Minimum of 1+ years experience in PVSyst software
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools
Ability to travel 20% of time

Experience working for a diverse multi-disciplined company
Strong communication skills to clearly articulate vision into an executable plan
