is currently seeking to fill the position of Roadway Design Engineer
(PE) in one of our Atlanta, GA area locations: Atlanta Office - 2839 Paces

The Corners Parkway, Suite 450, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30092
this position include:
Designs a variety of roadway project types including urban streets, rural highways, bridge replacements, sidewalks and trails, complex interchanges, roundabouts and intersection improvements
Collaborates with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to resolve a variety of complex problems
Supervises the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
Prepares and reviews technical reports, drawings, plans, specifications, and permits for projects
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
Prepares cost estimates for assigned projects
Conducts project site visits, as needed
Demonstrates strong attention to detail
Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills; Works independently on multiple tasks without immediate supervision
Builds and maintains excellent interpersonal relationships
Demonstrates working knowledge of Georgia Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures
Understands standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm, preferably within the A/E industry
Performs other duties as requested
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited program
Minimum of 4 years of roadway design experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia, or an ability to obtain PE in Georgia within 6 months of start date, is required
Experience using MicroStation V8i and Inroads is required;
OpenRoads experience is a plus
Working knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, practices and techniques, including AASHTO guidelines
Skill using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
Georgia Department of Transportation project experience is desired
