Job Description:


POSITION: BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST

Summary:

The Business Solutions Specialist is part of the Business Solutions team that is responsible to manage the analysis, design and implementation of core deposit processes and works closely with departments within the bank to identify, analyze and improve core business processes and workflows. This position works on both PMO initiatives and internal projects as a subject matter expert to increase efficiency and improve service through standardization and reduction in errors.

Key Result Areas:


  • Documents existing workflows, reviews Fiserv core deposit system functionality and analyzes processes for areas of improvement and automation.


  • Identifies and makes recommendations on aspects of core processes which are non-value added and could be eliminated.


  • Monitors, measures, and provides reporting on existing core processes.


  • Applies analysis techniques in other areas assigned, including but not limited to Back Office Operations.


  • Participates in PMO and internal projects, with a particular emphasis on process optimization for cross functional tasks.


  • Possess strong knowledge of best practices of process design and automation. Utilizes Six Sigma and Lean Sigma concepts in review of existing processes.


  • Promotes teamwork and positive communication and support of staff within the department and between departments to ensure all staff works in a collaborative manner towards a shared goal, and standards for excellent customer service.


  • Maintains relations with vendors that serve the department.


  • Work closely with other Bank Departments and Fiserv on implementing and changing products and services for deposit accounts. Assist with testing, changing/updating system options, user fields, Institution options, rate schedules and maintenance activity in accordance with new product or service introductions or enhanced Bank procedures. Maintain logs of testing and results for tracking and audit purposes.


  • Responsible for testing system enhancements to ensure systems are working effectively, which includes coordinating the testing of DNA releases and annual Disaster Recovery testing and working with other departments to ensure testing is completed. Formally document changes to support Change Management Policy.


  • Responsible for reviewing the outstanding deposit Fiserv cases and working with vendor as well as various departments to ensure systems are effectively functioning as designed. Also, provide product support to all departments within the Bank, including Consumer Banking, Customer Contact Center, Security, Accounting, Commercial Banking, Loan Servicing, Compliance and Auditing.


  • Coordinate Year End survey, reporting and processing with Fiserv and manage the overall distribution of year end forms to customers.


  • Set up and oversee controls that ensure integrity of Bank deposit data in accordance with bank-wide standards.


  • Comfortable working independently and manage work to ensure all deliverables are met on a timely basis, and in accordance with the Bank's standards.


  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.


  • Act as back-up within the department as needed.


  • Live the brand by incorporating core values in all aspects of daily activities.



  • Perform additional duties as required.




Qualifications:

  • College degree or 7 years Banking experience.
  • 5 years Operational Banking experience.
  • Previous management, supervisory or project management experience, and able to work independently, make independent judgements, as well as collaborate cross-functionally, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient using MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Bank's General Ledger System.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills, mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability and interest in engaging with customer directly via phone and email.
  • Knowledge of the Bank's operations and products.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues relating to Safe Deposit Boxes, 1099-INT forms, AML/BSA/OFAC monitoring and deposit account operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, business communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and write business documents.
