Registered Nurse - PRN Infusion Therapy

Cancer Center is open M- F Day Shift

PRN Defined: Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census. The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available.

The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. It serves as the region's healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. Our ER is the most experienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty services include the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit capable of caring for babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation; the region's only Pediatric Intensive Unit, the largest heart program in the region, a Behavioral Health Center which is a74-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital and the region's only Primary Stroke Center.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse provides all aspects of nursing care as they relate to outpatient infusion therapy and maintains accurate paper flow to ensure effective patient care as it relates to outpatient infusion therapy.

Assesses all patients who present requesting treatment through the use of the nursing process. Is responsible for providing up-to-date, timely, and comprehensive nursing care.

Coordinates acute care and necessary follow-up with; other staff members, other departments, specialized physicians, the patient's primary care physician, and all others as necessary.

Acts as a liaison for referring physicians of outpatient infusion therapy patients.

Participates in departmental quality improvement programs by identifying, collecting, analyzing and documenting the results.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required) (BSN preferred)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Idaho RN License or license in a compact state (required)



• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider status
  within 1 year of hire or transfer to department, ACLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, and
  complete hospital mandatory education assignments by deadlines assigned.




• PALS
  certification is highly encouraged.

EXPERIENCE:

• One-year experience in acute care (preferred)
