Job Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing and managing general accounting projects.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements for hospital, obligated group, and controlled affiliates

Collaborate with other areas in Finance (reimbursement, patient financial services, financial planning, etc.) as well as operations teams on close flux analysis.



Prepare close materials for presentation to the Enterprise.



Special Projects - annual Audit and Tax filings - support a clean monthly, quarter and annual close and a clean audit and tax process. This position will be responsible for running the audit for the Controlled Affiliates as well as being the lead on tax return preparations, including but not limited to 990s. Complete annual goals, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Mentoring of staff accounting positions

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: Five (5) years or more in Accounting

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Advanced accounting, finance, or business degree

Preferred Experience: Five (5) to Ten (10) years or more experience in Healthcare Accounting

Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Additional Technical Requirements

Excellent attention to detail, organized, computer skills, strong analytical skills. considered as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
