*This role can be based anywhere in the US. About the role:Under the guidance of the Director, Procurement, leads the buying and contract negotiation activities for the Procurement Department. Provides effective innovation and vision to meet the objectives and goals set forth by Procurement management.
What you'll do:
Ongoing collaboration with internal and external contacts to plan and lead new strategic initiatives and partnerships in furtherance of business objectives.
Leads specified commercial negotiations with third parties and collaborates with Legal, Finance, and user departments to ensure thorough, well-negotiated agreements that best protect the assets and financial interests of Everbridge.
Develop and drive continuous improvement programs to constantly seek out new cost or operational efficiencies across all areas of the business. Summarize identified efficiencies and present potential ROI and benefits to relevant executives for approval.
Directs subordinates in their efforts to establish and meet business objectives as required.
Promotes an organization that encourages diversity and fosters a participative environment that assumes employee accountability for quality, cost reduction, innovation, and success.
Promotes positive public and employee relations at all times.
What you'll bring:
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in a large-sized purchasing department with purchasing volumes of over $100 million a year.
Must demonstrate organizational, delegating, interpersonal, and other managerial skills. Ability to motivate and to develop teamwork.
Capable of identifying existing and/or emerging internal or external factors likely to affect Procurement's objectives, goals, strategies, plans, and performance.
Sound analytical ability and capability to resolve complex issues of a technical or logistical nature and to deal effectively with a number of such issues concurrently.
Capable of negotiating and overseeing master contracts and other procurement agreements.
Knowledge of appropriate international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the activities relative to the procurement of goods and services.
Experience in a technology or SaaS environment
Experience using NetSuite software or comparable systems
High proficiency in all MS Office products and in financial analysis principles. Experience in implementing and maintaining ERP systems such as NetSuite to drive additional operational efficiencies such as automated workflows, punch-out systems, and eAuctions.
