IFF in Rochester, NY is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! We are looking for an outgoing individual who can provide expertise on planning and executing maintenance programs and projects with people management responsibilities.

The purpose of this role is to manage the maintenance function for a large manufacturing site to include the physical site, internal systems, grounds maintenance and capital project support. Manage a team of highly qualified maintenance technicians to bring state of the art solutions to a growing business. This position is part of the site leadership team.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures that maintenance department objectives are met including project, cost, quality and safety factors.


• Daily management of maintenance department(predictive maintenance program, work order system, equipment/system repairs, upgrades, daily planning/communication, safety performance.)


• Maintain condition of facilities to protect assets and in compliance with corporate and division standards.


• Direct maintenance team and provide skilled, motivated personnel for effective repairs & capital/alteration projects.


• Support training and standardization initiatives.


• Provide technical expertise to analyze and resolve recurring issues limiting plant performance or affecting plant repair costs.


• Support plant-wide Process Safety Management (PSM) efforts.


• Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, etc.


• Works with the site leaders to jointly look for and capture leverageable opportunities across the site.


• Budget Responsibility for the Maintenance department.

Job Requirements

• Associates or Technical degree or equivalent with 5 plus years industrial maintenance experience with previous supervisory experience preferred.


• Systematic decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.


• Advanced math skills.


• Proficient computer and database management skills.
