Job Description:

Lead Developer, Applications, The J. M. Smucker Company, Orrville, Ohio. Member of the IS Supply Chain team supporting major project initiatives and application/functionality enhancements. Design, develop and support custom programming solutions, as well as providing development support for packaged (vendor) applications. Design solutions across a set of applications and integrations. Create technical project deliverables such as high-level solution designs and technical specifications for large, complex, robust, time bound projects. Code the most complex or newest technologies. Lead the analysis, design, development, tuning, and testing of technical solutions, complex integration, and system configurations to meet requirements using various database platforms and reporting products. Manage the technical delivery of medium to large projects including directing other team members, forecasting resources needs, and facilitating the project's enterprise architecture alignment. Assist with the troubleshooting of existing technical solutions and system configurations to restore operation as well as to determine issue root cause and

fix. Lead team members and mentor less experienced developers. Use past development

experience to solve complex issues and develop quality supportable solutions that adhere to

standards. Requires Bachelor's degree in IS, computer science, or related technical field plus 84 months of experience in a development role building solutions to support medium to large scale business initiatives, 84 months developing functional and technical specifications, 60 months with project management methodology and system development lifecycle, 36 months with Supply Chain systems, and 60 months with Oracle application / database / reporting. Also requires: advanced SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX/LINUX scripting skills; advanced relational database object design and development (tables, stored procedures, etc.) skills; proven analytical, problem solving and critical thinking; strong mentoring and coaching ability; strong interpersonal and communication skills; solid ability to build/maintain strong relationships and effectively partner with peers; able to work both independently and in a team environment; flexibility and desire to learn new skills quickly and "flow to the work"; and knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry.
