Duties and Responsibilities |
The Data Governance Manager leads and manages all organization-wide data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the quality and managing the access of sensitive data and information assets. The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs. * Responsible for implementation and oversight of Loyola's data management goals * Assists with the management of the Data Governance and Data Integrity Programs * Establishes and maintains Enterprise Data Dictionary and Standard Terminology * Coordinates efforts of collaboration and engagement between departments * Promotes adoption and education of data standards and practices * Collaborates with Information Security regarding data access and data loss prevention requirements * Manages data governance projects

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
- 3+ years of experience with any combination of the following relating to data: queries & reporting, business intelligence dashboards, data modeling & translation, data quality & integrity, data governance, or data security.
- A bachelor's degree in Information Systems or in a related area or related experience (masters degree preferred).

- A bachelor's degree in Information Systems or in a related area or related experience (masters degree preferred).
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and design.

EDU dataset and data definitions highly desirable.
