Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Legal Analyst within our Legal Department based in Houston, TX.


  • Responding to attorney and internal client group inquiries on ongoing matters within the relevant area of responsibility.

  • Creating records in legal systems.

  • Advising internal stakeholder groups on issues related to compliance with Company's internal contracting policies and procedures.

  • Providing responses to contract inquiries based on relevant guidelines.

  • Reviewing and negotiating standard form contracts, with guidance from more experienced personnel.

  • Engaging in various projects related to the development of contracting procedures, often coordinating with other stakeholder groups.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree, Associates Degree in Legal Studies or other related academic training.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to draft standard contracts and other documents with minimal assistance and with an attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage a large number of standard contracts or other transactional matters.

  • Seek guidance from attorneys or more experienced personnel, as needed, for the appropriate matters.

  • Apply knowledge to resolve a variety of contractual issues and complete negotiations of mostly standard contracts.

  • Ability to research projects and make evaluations knowing what information to collect and where to find it.

  • Experience managing commercial agreements.

  • Proactive approach to providing commercial minded advice and guidance to a variety of business units.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite and experience using contract management systems.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.

  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Desired Qualification


  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Import/export compliance experience a plus.
