We have an opportunity for a LEAN Engineer to join our Hanover Park, IL team. You will work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that best practices and continuous improvement are a part of our culture. This will be done through cross functional communication and work with management, customers, vendors, and associates and internal support organizations to drive change. You will work on key processes, identify systematic measurement and communicate project results to all levels of the organization. Constantly review operations, supply chain, and materials process' to provide solutions to resolve safety/ergonomic, quality, cost, and throughput issues.

You will:

• Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement and kaizen events as required.


• Contributes to developing the annual site PIMS implementation plan based on value stream maps, the annual site metric deployment and management system assessment to drive waste reduction while improving employee safety.


• Supports Director of Operations and Department Managers with capacity and staffing levels using flex plans based off of the actual work content. Searches for opportunities to reduce waste when observing these items.


• Works with Line Associates, Process Leaders, and Value Stream Leaders to insure daily SQDCC safety, quality, and delivery, cash flow, and productivity goals are met.


• Design and implement lean processes and systems while following the PDCA cycle.

Key Qualifications:

• 2-5 years Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience.


• Experience implementing and leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement efforts/projects.


• Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent


• Excellent communications skills (read, write and speak) in order to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.


• PC skills and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access )
