Job Description



John Crane is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager - Asset Management Solutions. The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting, developing and delivering strategic growth plans to establish and expand the existing Asset Management Solutions business within the North America Region. The role promotes and sells the full suite of solutions/services John Crane has to offer across the entire Asset Lifecycle environment. The position will also support the complete Business Solutions portfolio as a means to promote a seamless cross-selling platform. The role provides direction and leadership to achieve strategic goals in line with company targets,aligned vision, and shared values deploying a collaborative and consultative approach with both external and internal stakeholders. The Business Development Manager will support the development and conversion of strong qualified opportunities to successful award for the Asset Management Solutions portfolio for John Crane.







Duties & Responsibilities




  • Support Regional Sales Teams and potential customers to position Asset Management Solutions portfolio

  • Asset Management technical focal point for Regional Sales & Marketing teams

  • Stewardship and qualification support of sales opportunities for the assigned country for Asset Management Solutions

  • Work with and support Regional Sales Teams on qualified opportunities and assist in positioning John Crane to Win.

  • Provide guidance and support to deliver high quality, compliant technical proposals in response to customer RFP/RFQ

  • Ensure the strict adherence to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental management systems across the business.

The Individual




  • 5+ years sales and / or Business Development experience or already working in an Asset Management environment as either a solution provider or from an engineering/ operational perspective

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or relevant site experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills required

  • Experience working for companies in the Asset Management and / or Maintenance & Reliability markets

  • Understanding and / experience of a consultative selling approach

  • Miller Heiman LAMP training (preferred)

  • Multi Level/Functional Level sales experience

  • Must have book of business or qualified network

  • Demonstrated use of CRM system and pipeline management is a must
