The Analyst International Finance supports and facilitates the foreign accounting and tax compliance and the research and planning for all direct and indirect tax functions including; fuel, income, passenger, value-added and withholding taxes. The Analyst is responsible for the timely filing of tax returns and payments to meet the Company's tax compliance obligations and the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger tax accounts. The Analyst demonstrates ability in utilizing ERP systems, database applications and spreadsheet software.
Essential Responsibilities
Support international BlueCity startups including, assistance with determining the related financial regulatory requirements
Prepare income, value-added, withholding and various miscellaneous tax filings
Prepare analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Assist with identifying and communicating changes in international financial regulatory requirements and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with implementation of systems, establishing policies and procedures and meeting reporting requirements
Assist with reconciling incentive programs between JetBlue and airport authorities
Support internal stakeholders with reconciliation of international business partner payments
Maintain the international financial compliance calendar and meet filing and reporting due dates
Assist with audits including, internal/external financial and taxing authority
Assist with design and implementation of process improvements
Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls are maintained
Assist with research to support financial compliance and planning
Other duties and projects as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
One (1) year of experience in corporate accounting, finance or tax
Fluent in English and Spanish language
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (including spreadsheet expertise)
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and interpretive skills
Proficient in accounting and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
International finance experience
ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
