Torch Technologies is seeking candidates to join a team in performing hardware and software integration and provide support for computer infrastructures, networks, and labs encompassing both physical and virtual servers and large numbers of workstations. The team installs, tests, administers, maintains, operates, and supports a range of commercial off the shelf (COTS), Government off the shelf (GOTS), and open source software which can include the following:
Candidates must be able to plan, conduct and coordinate major scientific programming applications of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the application and will provide technical advice and consultation of complex scientific applications. Candidates must also be able to provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of multiple, inter-linked programs and recommend and develop scientific programming methods and documentation standards. The successful candidates will support systems engineering, server system administration, infrastructure services, DHCP storage management and data protection, information management, web development, software optimization activities, and LAN and WAN network engineering and administration. The successful candidates must possess a strong foundation in hardware/software tool development, analysis, and maintenance with an enthusiasm for learning, and an ability to work closely with teammates and customers on a daily basis.
B.S. degree or better in computer science, math, engineering, or physics from an accredited university is required with experience in research, computer analysis, data analysis, application development, or programming highly preferred with8 years of related experience.
The work site is at customer facilities on Redstone Arsenal, AL. Position is contingent on contract award and requires that candidate obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance in order to access classified information systems. Inability to obtain or maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Some travel may be required for this position.
