We are currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our team as a member of our growing Mountain Region Technical Services Division. At McKinstry, commissioning has emerged as an essential part of project delivery and a preferred method for ensuring that building systems are installed and operatedto provide maximum performance. Our Technical Services suite of owner-direct offerings helps our clients make decisions that will improve efficiency, lower operating costs, and performatmaximum comfort andincreaselifespan of a building.

In this position, you will perform commissioning activities on a variety of systems to verify compliance to engineering specifications. You will develop, manage, and coordinate project specific commissioning plans - reviewing and verifying system installation, functional performance, and control system operations. It is your knowledge and innovational mindset around design, system enhancement, and system maintainability that will drastically impact our efforts to enhance building performance, health, sustainability, and reduce energy consumption.

What we would like to see from you:

• Demonstrates proficiencies as a commissioning engineer.


• 3+ years relevant experience.


• Advanced proficiency with MS Suite skills including project, Excel and Word.


• Working knowledge of mechanical and control systems.


• Ability to read and u nderstand construction documents and the ability to identify potential issues within the CD's.


• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Fire/life safety, plumbing, lighting, and security systems.


• Communications skills both verbal and written


• Efficient use of building automation systems


• BA/BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
