SUMMARY: The Compliancy Coordinator ensures the effective collection, analysis, maintenance, and reporting of school data for compliance purposes as well as assuming the role as the Student Information System (PowerSchool) primary POC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Serves as the school's expert, trainer and super user on the Student Information System, PowerSchool and attends all weekly meetings;
Works within PowerSchool to support all daily, quarterly attendance reporting for all regulatory entities and K12. Imports new students into PowerSchool and ensures the correct placement and add to attendance courses. Audits grade levels between SIS and TotalView, imports final grades quarterly/semester and pull Credit summary and send to counselors
Monitors all deadlines communicated by state departments of education for compliance functions; Supports administrators with completion of reports to regulatory entities and K12;
Works and interacts with district officials on a daily basis;
Interacts with the WAVE daily; attending weekly meetings. Clearing WAVE conflicts
Develops systems to track compliance items, e.g. staff records, teacher certification database, student vision and hearing screenings;
Supports dropout tracking efforts by identifying students counted as dropouts and adding them to our dropout tracker;
Develops, implements and enforces processes to respond to errors reported by local school districts or the state through timely and effective communication;
Regularly attends training programs and communicates all compliance-related processes and issues to stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree AND
Three (3) years of relevant experience OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Organizational and time management skills
Project management experience
Experience with sampling and auditing practices
Experience using a student management database
Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up 20% of the time as required by the charters, board members, and Head of School, often with little notice
Ability to clear required background check including obtaining required fingerprint clearance
Public school audit experience
State reporting experience
Grant management experience
