This position is located in Lake Charles, LA, 70601.
The Loan Officer Associate II responsibilities include assisting in all stages of a loan file, from origination through funding of a mortgage loan and generating new business. Will possess an NMLS license.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum GED or High School diploma
- Minimum 1 year experience in a professional office environment in an equal or equivalent industry
- Able to obtain Safe Act certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to professionally interact directly with clients and Sales and Operations staff
- Ability to work proactively, independently and in team setting with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple loan files
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a business related field
- Experience working with mortgage clients and developing new relationships/business and managing the pipeline of loans
- Mortgage lending industry experience
- Experience generating sales
- Knowledge of the mortgage loan application process
- Encompass experience
Specific Job Functions:
- Develop new business by attending realtor and/or NOLA marketing functions
- Will discuss with clients the terms and conditions of their mortgage loan
- Set up new files, including uploading documents into loan origination software prior to submitting file to processing
- Responsible for ordering appraisals, title requests, etc and confirming receipt within specific timeframes
- Responsible for coordinating closings times with title companies, real estate agents and buyers/borrowers
- Responsible for coordinating with processers to clear any closing/funding conditions as they arise prior to loan closure
- Responsible to assist post-closing department to gather any additional investor required documentation after a loan has closed
- Attend closing or be available by phone preferred
- Complies with regulatory rules and regulations, evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability
- Performs other duties as appointed by management
