What will your role be?

Our team is responsible for development of PowerCASE - an application used to set up simulations for our Lattice Boltzmann-based fluid flow solver (SIMULIA PowerFLOW). Engineers in a variety of industries use PowerCASE to import and edit geometry, prescribe simulation behavior, and explore/review their model and simulation setup using a 3D graphics interface and other GUI controls.

We're looking for software engineers who are, first and foremost, strong developers, but also good collaborators who can work closely with various domain experts (physics, computational geometry, aerodynamics, thermal, aeroacoustics, etc.) to design and implement new product features which satisfy customer requirements.

The challenges ahead


  • Tackle interesting software engineering problems, which often touch on particular subject areas such as computational geometry, 3D graphics or fluid dynamics.

  • Collaborate with other software teams to integrate PowerCASE with Dassault Systemes' cloud platform.

  • Follow sound software engineering practices. The code we write today will underpin PowerCASE for years to come - it needs to be maintainable, extensible and robust.

  • Make usability a priority, since we strive to make the complexity inherent in fluid simulations manageable by way of intuitive controls and straightforward workflows.

  • Make performance a priority, since typical industrial cases involve management of large amounts of data.

  • Work with QA to ensure that the software is thoroughly tested.

Your Key Success Factors?


  • Solid grounding in computer science theory

  • MS in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience designing and developing complex commercial software systems

  • Experience designing and implementing graphical user interfaces using a high-level toolkit (ideally Qt) on Windows and/or Linux.

  • Solid C++ programming skills, including familiarity with STL, as well as modern (C++11/14) features
