Position Purpose


Responsible for carrying out the daily operations of the warehouse. This will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities.



Key Accountabilities


TheLead, Bakery-Warehouse is responsible for ensuring the food is shipped, received and stored according to the specifications established by Aspire Bakeries. Also required to work with the Bakery Team to accomplish production goals and maintain food quality.



Responsibilities


  • Follow all warehousing policies and procedures.


  • Utilize forklift, pallet jack and related machinery and equipment to move product

  • Fill hoppers, maintain ingredients accessibility, timely stage ingredients per pick sheets and the needs of the production line

  • Monitor inventory levels, maintain appropriate records and enter data transfers in SAP

  • Rack finished food from the production department in freezer and scan into SAP

  • Print and documents SU labels for finished goods from production



  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing product against documentation

  • Prepare and load pallets for shipment, scan and verify labels and corresponding documents are accurate

  • Manage ingredients temperature during storage

  • Assure ingredients are stored securely

  • Inspect the warehouse on a daily basis and report any product damage, equipment malfunctions or department deficiencies to appropriate personnel

  • Participate in inventory counts, cycle counts, and warehouse audits



  • Ensure warehouse, freezer, machinery and equipment are clean and organized at all times

  • Load outbound shipments and complete all associated computer and paperwork associated with the load.

  • Unload inbound shipments and complete all associated computer and paperwork associated with the load.

  • Stage ingredients for Production Department usage.

  • Monitor inventory levels in warehouse and provide feedback to foreman and supervisors.

  • Monitor the department on a daily basis and report any product damage or department discrepancies to the appropriate foreman or supervisors.

  • Follow the work schedule and assigned jobs on a daily basis.

  • All other duties that are assigned by department management.

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices/Food Safety Practices



Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level



Required



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of two (2) years of warehousing experience recommended.

  • Previous forklift experience recommended.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.



Preferred



  • Good reading, writing and oral communications in English.

  • Good mathematical skills.

  • Computer skills - Ability to use Word and Excel software
