Job Description:

Summary:This position is primarily responsible for supporting personnel to produce a quality shingle and timely meet expectations of production demands by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Trains and relieves machine operators as needed.Fills in for the Lead during their absence, including performing color changes, quality checks, and become familiar with mold changeovers.Maintains communication between shifts and coworkers.Performs daily departmental housekeeping.Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, by hand.Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on pallets.Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples for analysis.Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.Dumps by hand materials such as colors or plastic, into machine hoppers or move product by hand onto scrap pallets.Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.Reads spread sheets to determine specific material requirements at changeovers.Maintains work area in a neat and clean condition.Performs necessary maintenance and repair on some equipment used.Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.Prepares and maintains records of product movement.Pulls raw materials and finish product from various locations for manufacturing orders.ACCOUNTABILITY:Notifies the Supervisor of any issue with these subjects.Safety

Double checks product pulled for accuracy.
Replenishes shelf stock after orders complete.
General housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse work areas.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.COMPUTER SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet Software (Excel).CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Forklift certification required

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Minimum of 2 years solid recent work history that includes working on a forklift.
Previous warehouse experience a plus.
Must pass equipment operator's testing, according to position and department requirements.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT:May use (but not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment.
