Position Summary
Location Profile:
PCC Rollmet is a leading manufacturer of cold worked and annealed pipe for the petrochemical, energy and defense industries. We provide precision thin wall seamless cylindrical shapes, pipes and tubes across a wide range of materials, including nickel alloy, stainless steel, aluminum, and ferritic alloy. PCC Rollmet has pioneered our unique Cold Roll Extrusion process to manufacture precision thin wall tubes under 0.75" thicknesses. Strengths of our cold roll extruded, solid-solution alloy pipes are greater than those of conventionally manufactured pipe and tube, due to the fine-grain size achieved through cold working and recrystallization.
Position Summary:
Level One - Under direct supervision, level one deburr operators perform basic deburr operations such as edge breaking and simple surface finishing tasks using deburr tools such as swivel and straight edge knifes and pneumatic tools employing deburr pads to hand finish part surfaces. This position will also be responsible for learning and completing Hydro Testing procedures. They will also demonstrate basic competencies in interpreting and following work instructions including work orders and travelers, and completing shop transactions in the relevant MRP system after instruction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Deburr all sharp edges surfaces as required (I.D & O.D)
- Record Data accurately and follow standard operating procedures for all Hydro Testing operations.
- Prioritize work load assignments
- Track tools and manufacturing supplies for the area
- Generate repair maintenance work orders
- Perform safety and housekeeping audits
- Perform 100 % visual inspection
Required Skills:
- Basic print reading
- Basic shop math
Required Experience:
- 0-1 year of experience
Level of Education:
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
