The institution includes both Lipscomb University and Lipscomb Academy. The University enrolls more than 4,600 students, has a 10-year growth rate from 2007-2017 of almost 70 percent and offers students an intellectually challenging academic program of study that includes eight bachelor's degrees with over 100 majors spanning the liberal arts to programs of study in pre-professional and professional disciplines, 24 master's degrees in 70 fields of study, four education specialist degrees and three doctoral degrees. Each year, Lipscomb students contribute an average of 60,000 hours of service to nonprofits and organizations. Classified as a national university by U.S. News & World Report, Lipscomb University is classified as a doctoral university by the Carnegie Foundation, placing it among 7 percent of schools nationwide.

Lipscomb Academy is a leader in PreK-12th schools in the Nashville area and enrolls over 1,200 students in academic programs from 2-year-olds to 12th grade where students are equipped to love to learn, learn to love, and live to serve. Lipscomb Academy's mission as a Christ-centered PreK-12th grade institution has been greater than shaping the minds of children; we guide children to discover their God-given gifts and passions, to develop as a whole person and to become a positive influence in their local and the greater global community. Throughout its existence, the Academy has benefitted from its unique association with Lipscomb University through access to its college-level professors, equipment and resources while delivering rigorous academic opportunities and offering compelling and competitive athletic programs all wrapped in an environment grounded in spiritual formation.

In addition to Lipscomb's residential campuses in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee, there are two satellite locations and numerous online programs. At the heart of Lipscomb University are more than 860 full-time faculty and staff at the University and 160 full-time faculty and staff at the Academy who are committed to creating a lasting impact beyond the campus, serving the good of humanity to the glory of God.
