We are currently looking for a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to join our Member App team! What You’ll Gain

Your Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and bringing the best to the team




• Influence Shipt’s member app team and champion a high degree of code quality and performance




• Deliver rich and engaging user experiences in a timely manner




• Partner with backend engineers to design systems with user experience forethought




• Collaborate with Product Managers, Experience Designers and Backend Engineers to design and deliver high-quality features




• Build efficient and reusable react native components and architect reliable, performant, and scalable react native solutions




• Follow data-driven approaches to conduct experiments and iterate features




• Identify areas of improvement and drive react native best practices




• Mentor and grow other developers

Requirements

• 5+ years experience (with high emphasis on mobile app development, including cross-platform mobile apps)




• Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals; unit, integration, e2e, etc. 




• Able to transform hi-fidelity designs into accurate, working features




• Value the support of a QA team validating your code’s functionality




• Collaborating with Design and Product to deliver new functionality




• Able to communicate complex ideas and concepts concisely




• Provide mentorship to other team members




• Lead technical efforts to improve app maintainability, stability, and performance

Nice to Haves

• React Native or React




• Redux, Recoil, and other React state management concepts




• Knowledge of Accessibility best practices




• Interest in Leadership opportunities




• Open source software and dependency management




• Development of an E-commerce application




• Experience with App distribution; App Store, Play Store, Beta channels, CodePush, etc
