Alight is Looking for a Defined Contribution Client Specialist

Do you want to be part of an engaging and collaborative team where you are able to impact thousands of lives? You will have the opportunity to use your problem solving mentality and analytical skills to tackle challenging problems for your clients, while you interact in-person and virtually with a global team. You will be in charge of completing deliverables that meet the client's high expectations. In addition, you will learn about Defined Contribution plans, how our systems work, and become part of the culture at Alight.

Your Impact As A Defined Contribution Client Specialist

  • Learn about DC through client interactions and requirements

  • Accountable for end to end client delivery through following established processes and working in a collaborative environment

  • Apply plan provisions and best practices to complex participant benefit issues

  • Use developed understanding of DC to interpret client's requirements

  • Research complex participant benefit issues and recommend solutions by analyzing fact patterns and apply provisions

  • Participate in planning and supporting client acceptance and implementation testing

  • Consult and coordinate with customer care colleagues

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong logical and mathematical thinker who enjoys structure and rules but also has a desire to think outside the box and improve process efficiency

  • Proven analytical abilities - attention to detail and working with complex data

  • Self-starter with a curious mindset that asks questions and strives to see bigger picture

  • Strong ability to learn through formal and on the job training

  • Organized with ability to prioritize work and adjust to change efficiently and thoughtfully

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as team communication skills

  • At least one year of DC and system training at Alight or equivalent experience


Bachelor's degree (business context preferred) or equivalent experience
