The Legendary Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Human Resources Training & Team Member Event Coordinator to join our dynamic Human Resources Department.
What will I be doing?
The Human Resources Training & Team Member Event Coordinator coordinates and implements department training, activities and projects as assigned. Provides clerical and office support and assistance to department management. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
F acilitates a variety of training classes in English and Spanish (New Hire Orientation, Guest Service, etc.)
Coordinating all logistics for Training Sessions & Hotel Recognition Programs (manage the nominations, order trophies, coordinate venue and menu, print certificates and order gift cards, etc.) (Team Member of the Month, Leader of the Quarter, Service Anniversary, Catch Me at My Best Program, Department Recognition and more) Makes recommendations to improve existing incentive programs or implement new incentive programs
Provides administrative support for all training classes including sending out training announcements, ordering/producing materials, setting up rooms, ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are present, taking and recording attendance information, and post-training following up. (Filing forms, union applications to union, Del text management, create name badges, coordinate food handlers and TIPs cards, etc.)
Assists with analysis of information from a variety of sources (Guest complaints/compliments, SALT scores, etc.) to determine areas where training could be improved or developed to constantly improve guest service.
Coordinate other HR Events and Initiatives (Global Team Member Survey, Thrive, Holiday events, etc., )
Quality Assurance Tracking
Collaborates with Marketing and other departments on property-wide communications responsibilities to include the Electronic Bulletin Board, events calendars, birthdays and anniversaries, Diversity and Inclusion, perks, and more
Cover the HR Front Desk as needed
Other Requests and Projects as assigned
One year minimum classroom training delivery experience preferred
Understanding of adult learning principles
Project management experience a plus.
Proficient to advanced Microsoft Office Skills specifically in Word, Excel & PowerPoint required.
Comfortable interacting with Executive Management in-person and through email.
Strong written communication skills.
Attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
