About the Role

As a Personal Trust Team Leader you will be responsible for the coordination of personal trust activities. You will partner with your team to lead efforts in expanding fiduciary services within your area of responsibility.

You will serve unique and individualized needs for our client accounts, while operating within defined policies and procedures. Your strategic thinking will help you create efficiencies to meet client needs and reduce potential errors. You will have significant decision making authority and responsibility for establishing and monitoring account assignments, productivity objectives, and regulatory & compliance accountability.

Each day will bring variety. You will bring your extensive knowledge of personal trust accounts, estate planning principles, taxation and administrative procedures to lead and guide your team. You will have the opportunity with proven ability to represent the Bank within the community.

You will work as a Team Leader and know the regulations and requirements for a variety of Trust types. You will be responsible for the financial performance of a client book.

You will prioritize each day and ensure that no one is left behind. You will use your communication skills to inform all parties on status and timing

How You'll Spend Your Time


  • Administer trust accounts, especially those of more complex nature

  • Coordinate with Administrators, co-trustees, beneficiaries and attorneys regarding delicate accounts

  • Direct and manage work of a team

  • Organize operational activities including Reg. 9 reviews, discretionary distributions and others to meet all regulations and legal requirements

  • Participate in business development activities for selected high profile individuals and participate in joint calls with other Bank professionals

  • Work with specific relationships and executive management and board of directors to maintain highest level of confidentiality

RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: Relate to any audience and build trust by leveraging strong interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree and 10-12 years in trust management or 15-17 years equivalent work experience.
