Description
1st Shift Stamping Maintenance Process Technician Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30 PM
Works with Stamping Maintenance Department to support projects around implementation of new equipment and revisions to existing equipment including controls programming. Additionally, the Process Technician investigates, provides suggestions for, and implements projects that resolve systemic problems; providing long-term cost and quality benefits.
What You Will Do In Your Role
| Actively seek input from equipment users, maintenance and engineers to ensure existing equipment is operating with no downtime and high efficiencies. |
| Proactively seek out opportunities to resolve systemic problem areas; evaluate, communicate, recommend and implement corrective action; prepare schematics, blueprints and layout drawings as necessary. |
| Work closely with engineering to assist in implementing large-scale projects including design and fabrication of basic components; Assist in the design and programming of electronic controls including PLC's. |
| Apply quality principles to all activities to ensure customer satisfaction. |
| Exercise strict controls on all purchases of new and replacement parts. |
| Ensure timely and smooth transition on new equipment and equipment upgrades into the department by participation in writing work instructions and training all involved with the equipment. |
| Work closely with management to prioritize projects in a manner that would best help Molex and our customers. |
| Participate in equipment design reviews and FMEA's to provide effective processes for new build and existing equipment. |
| Research and suggest new equipment and control technologies that will help us to provide more competitive manufacturing services. |
| Be willing to travel to support Molex needs world-wide. |
| Assist Stamping safety team with safety reviews on new and upgraded equipment. |
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
Two-year degree in technical area and five years' experience in industrial maintenance or eight years' experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
Strong machine Shop/Fabrication skills; Five years' experience in industrial maintenance; Basic knowledge of AC/DC principles including the knowledge to use electrical diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting; Proven welding skills; Demonstrated ability to use Precision Measuring Equipment (PME) such as torque wrenches, micrometers & calipers.
What Will Put You Ahead
2- 4 years of proven experience in process improvement in addition to required.
Strong process improvement background with emphasis on basic knowledge of PLC programming.
Ability to draw basic electrical and mechanical designs using AutoCAD; Strong technical writing skills.
