Managed Internal Broadband Technician at Uniti in Monroe, Louisiana

Job Description:

Uniti Fiber Holdings Inc. is seeking a Managed Internal Broadband Technician. The positions requires an individual that is motivated, self driven and capable of self starting with good time management skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service.


• Ability to read and comprehend network documentation for use in troubleshooting.


• Work with the Managed Services staff for upgrades, changes, troubleshooting in the customer's environment, and on company equipment and systems.


• Assist with determining root cause analysis of outages and work towards resolution.


• Respond to all telephone calls, e-mails, and requests for technical support.


• Manage customer expectations by communicating estimated resolution times and communicating with customers throughout the troubleshooting process.


• Work on-call/after hours when necessary.


• Supports special projects as assigned.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/ or Experience:

• At least 3 years in an IT/network technical role supporting multiple customers.


• At least 2 years on-site customer experience.


• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively with a team and customers.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Familiarity with enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, security appliances and content filters.


• Ability to use ticketing systems and CRM software.


• Associates degree in Information Technology from an accredited Technical college or University.


• Industry and vendor specific certifications (CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, etc.) are favored.
