701000 Emergency ServicesExpectations:
Performs medical record audit for billable charge entry and statistical data. Reports such to both internal and external departments. This is a per diem which may require flexibility of hours and is eligible for overtime pay.
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency ( One year of work-related experience may be substituted for High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency)
Experience/Training:
At least one year of experience with any of the following: Preferred - prior experience with medical insurance coverage in acute care setting.
Preferred - prior medical collection or billing experience in acute care setting.
Preferred - ability to read medical records and understanding of medical terminology and medical procedures. Preferred knowledge of CPC and E/M codes.
Skills:
Proficient in Computer data entry skills, Medical terminology, EMR software and medical record review. Microsoft Word, Excel.
