Job Description:

Lakeview Center is best known for its caring, compassionate treatment for people with mental health issues, drug and alcohol dependencies, or intellectual disabilities. The breadth and depth of these services are the most comprehensive in the region. They range from inpatient and residential treatment to a gamut of outpatient programs including trauma services, psychiatry, counseling, day treatment, and intensive, round-the-clock outpatient services to help people with severe mental illnesses safely remain in the community. We reach people of all ages from babies and children to adolescents and adults. In all, we offer more than 60 programs and services for the people of Northwest Florida.

Overview

This position is responsible for providing the day-to-day handling releasing of patient medical records and the electronic records maintenance in compliance with the federal/state regulations, mental health/alcohol polices and procedures in accordance with 42 CFR and HIPAA confidentiality standards. This position must promote a positive working relation through prompt and courteous services to both internal and external customers.

Requirements


  • Associate degree from a college or university within area of position responsibility with two (2) years relevant experience or, RHT with (2) years or high school diploma with four (4) years experience in healthcare records management, business, administration, compliance or other related management fields.

  • Two or more year of experience in Records/Office/Administration or other healthcare management areas.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational skills and skillful management of internal/external customers.

  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Must be extremely detail oriented with high level of accuracy while demonstrating the ability to resist distractions.

  • Position requires a friendly, confident and knowledgeable presence with working with program areas or other customers.

  • Position requires proficient computer skills and must be able to use Microsoft Office to complete tasks.

  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures for the agency and assigned program division.

  • Ability to problem solve and advocate for change as needed.
