Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for project managing the development and implement for our Mobile Device Compatibility projects. This role will report to the Manager of V&V within the R&D Organization and work cross functionally across teams/functions on a regular basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrated high-level technical understanding of business requirements as they pertain to Project Management principles and the project lifecycle including demonstrated excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage small, less complex work efforts, demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and demonstrated ability to work with business sponsors and partners to identify and implement solutions including demonstrated ability to motivate teams to achieve defined deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, mediate issues, develop solutions and implement a course of action

  • Demonstrated success at meeting budget, timelines, and requirement targets and managing variances

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills including writing, presenting, listening, and facilitating and including demonstrated experience presenting to work effort participants, stakeholders and all levels of management

  • Ability to identify milestones/deliverable delays and critical resource allocation issues from the work breakdown schedule

  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile delivery methodologies

  • Ability to manage work efforts of medium size and moderate complexity

  • Demonstrated functional competencies including: Change Management, Vendor Management, Methodology Approach and Business Life Cycle, Mission/Vision/Strategy, Planning and Organization, Risk Management, Agile delivery methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large scale, highly complex work efforts successfully and within budgetary guidelines

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills including ability to influence without authority

  • Demonstrated applied success in leading multi-disciplinary, high-performance work teams

  • ScrumMaster Certification (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) is preferred

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience

  • Drive multisite & remote, cross-functional V&V projects for Mobile Device Compatibility testing.to project completion ensuring that we are creating best-in-breed product and service experiences.

  • Organize and continually maintain project transparency by establishing key project information, a schedule for all phases of V&V and compatibility project, as possible. Define and refine Agile metrics to understand project performance

  • Communicate project status with all levels of stakeholders within the organization as needed, with the goal of creating harmony and accountability across the organization and team

  • Planning and working to improve processes to achieve best in class cycle time

  • Working across the company to remove obstacles and ensure goal alignment

  • Take meeting notes (attendees, items discussed, what changed, blockers, next steps, action items)

Functional Description: Technical Individual Contributors

Manages the development and implementation process of a company's projects. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules, assessing scope, and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, monitoring team performance, and ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.

Functional/Business Knowledge:

  • Possesses broad understanding of technical principles and theories. Ability to synthesize external data and research findings for application that may impact technical objectives.

Scope:

  • Demonstrates successes in technical proficiency and independent thought. Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in‐depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Judgement:


  • Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Normally receives little instruction on day‐to‐day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.

Workplace Type:
  • The Workplace Type for this role is Assigned Desk. Based on the nature of your role you will have an assigned desk or office located at a Dexcom site and should plan to be onsite approximately 4-5 days per week.
