Inventory Coordinator at Cognizant in Mountain View, California

Job Description:

The team's main objective is to provide Equipment Buy Support, Logistics & Liaison support with shipping partners and also provide Tech Support for Google Street View operations. They manage the equipment used in this image collection and to keep this equipment running in the field, retrieve it, service it and manage equipment inventories at hardware depots. The Inventory Analyst enforce demand fulfillment process with stakeholders (Operations, NPI and Tech Support) 

Role & Responsibilities  

• 
  

  Work with the procurement team to secure supply availability. Provide clear updates on recovery and mitigations.

  Lead time calculation, ETA/ETD 

  
  


• 
  

  Create and maintain parts lists and replenishment levels 

  
  


• 
  

  Create processes for forecast modeling, parameter establishment, exception management 

  
  


• 
  

  Forecast demand & oversee regional allocations 

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate key inventory inbound/outbound to interested parties 

  
  

• 
  

  Support for physical inventory counts as required 

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain/provide reports 

  
  

Experience / Skills 

• 
  

  2-3 years experience in logistics industry, inventory or warehouse management 

  
  


• 
  

  High school graduate or equivalent 

  
  


• 
  

  Technological savviness 

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.
