Job Description:

"This is not your everyday UX research job. Our team is not digital product-oriented. We're focused on gathering foundational research insights that will be used to influence the design and development of new office building projects from lobby to workstations to amenity services and beyond. This is a highly strategic research role that is less product design-oriented and more service design-oriented."

Putting our clients and their needs first remains the top goal for our User Experience team. As a User Experience Associate, you'll be responsible for project work as well as helping shape the direction of our teams. Working as a valued member of a multidisciplinary design team, you'll be involved in complex projects, and will participate in user research and design planning to respond to feedback.

In addition to primary project work, you'll contribute to design systems such as our pattern library, visual design library, and motion library, as well as mentor others on the team. You'll hone your communication skills by presenting your work to diverse stakeholders and the broader technology organization.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• Master's in HCI or similar preferred
• 3-5 years experience in qualitative UX research roles, preferably working in a cross-product capacity
• Hands-on experience independently conducting qualitative research start to finish - scoping & planning, recruiting & conducing, analyzing & presenting
• Ability to deliver strategic recommendations based on research findings and influence stakeholders who will need to act on those recommendations
• Experience with research outputs beyond a findings report - journey maps, user flows, service blueprints are critical research outputs in this role
• In addition to research, a well-developed understanding of one or more of the following design functions would be beneficial: user experience design , product design, service design, organizational design - this should be a great role for a designer with strong research experience or a researcher with a strong sense of design strategy
• Strong project and people management skills. Must be able to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor
• Strong lens for the impacts of design on inclusion and accessibility
• Experience of building cross-functional relationships and proactively developing opportunities from these relationships
