Job Description

This role is onsite at the Teledyne FLIR facility in West Lafayette, Indiana and the new hire will work onsite M-F standard business hours. Local candidates are given preference.

Job Summary:

QAQC Chemist is required to perform QAQC testing and analysis of QAQC data for all Detection ChemBio products (Mass Spec instruments and IBAC variants), including relevant documentation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Provide data analysis and report generation for production and service instrumentation.

  • Review Production Instrument QA/QC reports.

  • Prepare Demo instruments before shipping

  • Prepare and maintain inventory of QAQC standards for all areas - Production, Service, Demo and Testing

  • Maintain essential inventory and ensure common areas are well kept and orderly

  • Provide Application support when needed

  • Less than 10% travel.

Job Qualifications:


  • BS or MS in Chemistry or biochemistry is required

  • 2 to 3 years working experience as a chemist following degree is required

  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in analytical chemistry related fields or products, especially with GC/MS instrumentation.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues


  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills required

  • Experience with wet chemistry and good laboratory practices are preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis and generate reports


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High energy, proactive orientation, self-motivated
