Description

Starting wage $15.40 - $15.80 per hour.

Essential duties:

Proper operation of forklifts as it relates to keeping incoming and outgoing materials handled and delivered in an efficient and safe manner. Load and unload stock to and from trucks, delivering material to warehousing or stocking areas.

Performing routine safety and maintenance checks on forklifts.

May also be required to break down and rebuild pallets consisting of manually moving stock from one pallet to another.

General cleaning and maintenance tasks are performed as needed.

Mfg Plant and/or Warehousing environment

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent. At least 1 year of forklift experience is required however, must obtain certification (forklift license) through NSK if hired.

PPE Required: Safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, safety vest, & hat.

Environment: Work is performed in a well lit, high paced, temperature controlled factory or office setting.

Sensory requirements:

Vision - straight line and peripheral vision are required to perform work tasks with precision, view monitors and screens, and for safety when working in tight areas and around forklift traffic.

Hearing - individuals must be able to hear to communicate with co-workers, to hear alarms and notifications, and to be aware for safety around forklift traffic.

Sensation - individuals must have appropriate touch sensation to perform precision work, handle small and large items, utilize tooling, and to differentiate between hot and cold items for safety.
