Job Description
Varex Imaging is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help support new and existing Full Contact Tester projects in Array Tester Engineering Group. Our group designs and develops full contact testers that are used to test flat panel x-ray sensor glasses and to capture any potential quality issues. Our group often faces exciting and challenging new tester projects with tight timelines. This requires us to work together as a team and leverage each other's expertise and experience.
Varex Imaging is looking for a Mechanical Engineer that:
Creates mechanical designs for all the new Full Contact Tester projects.
Assembles and integrates the full contact tester test modules and evaluates the mechanical design.
Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and works with vendors and contractors.
Performs detailed documentation to track design process.
Follows company's standard mechanical design procedures to ensure the design quality and consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, assemble and evaluate the mechanical system for any new tester project and implement design improvement on existing testers as needed.
Interface effectively with DOC Control, SAP, Quality, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management to manage complex problems across several different departments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Applied physics.
5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks.
Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as machining, brazing/welding, mechanical assembly.
Familiarity with MS Office and SAP software.
