Position Description: The Innovation Manager is responsible for leading, supporting and
ensuring the successful completion of innovative software projects and be instrumental
in shaping & realizing the future developments for NEXPLORE and the
Operating Companies on their digital transformation journey. They
will be the link between construction and the technology development project life
cycle, able to understand the infrastructure industry requirements, define
deliverables, timeframes, and budgets for the Engineering teams to deliver on
time and on budget. In this role, the Innovation Manager will collaborate with software
engineers & developers, project managers, contractors & construction
engineers to build robust software solutions for the AEC industry. The role
will also require the candidate to provide mentoring as a subject matter expert
on general construction topics to the development team.
Roles & Responsibilities*:
- Contribute Construction Project/ Industry expertise to NEXPLORE product/ strategy and development;
- Applying infrastructure management principles and methods to Nexplore's portfolio of digital products & innovation projects.
- Conduct in-depth studies of the users; from Executive Management to 'work floor'
- Support in establishing product usability and adoption within our internal group of companies as well as the external construction market
- Support Nexplore's efforts to streamline & standardize its product functionality across its group of companies
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to insure Nexplore's products are developed according to their specific requirements as well as the requirements of other sister companies.
- Using change management methods, enable software innovation projects to succeed in the implementation phase for the client.
- Develop strategic overview, blueprint & roadmap, and sales strategy to contribute to the development of Nexplore's product line
- Communicate information to clients about NEXPLORE's developments and offerings including the integration and interfaces between products
- Contribute construction management expertise to NEXPLORE's business/ organization including commercial, business development and links between suppliers and market
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in construction/ engineering sector to provide critical knowledge/ insight of industry needs, challenges, problems and clearly convey them to NEXPLORE's development teams.
- Provide leadership to supervise Project Managers and Business Development/Sales Teams.
- Manage goal and performance setting of staff through effective coaching, employee development, team building and culture.

Qualifications:
- 4-year bachelor's degree in engineering fields
- Master's degree in related field is preferred
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in the engineering field
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally in an international, agile environment
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including solid negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks.
- Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and utilize new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
- Simultaneously set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Proficient skills in computers: digital technologies, Digital Engineering packages, BIM, MS Word, Excel, email
- 10 years' experience with construction industry software, across multiple project lifecycle stages
