JOB SUMMARY : The ideal candidate for the Customer Success Representative role is highly motivated and a confident experienced salesperson with the ability to grasp complex product knowledge and application logic. They are a self-starter with the ability to identify and develop new customer relationships.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Proactively prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close new and existing business
Act as primary point of contact for companies within a geographical territory
Grow recurring revenue from installed base accounts in assigned territory
Ensure effective communication with the customer and/or prospect to set appropriate expectations for a qualified solution to their needs
Meet monthly and quarterly revenue & new opportunity targets
Follow up and maintain an accurate sales forecast at all times
Develop and qualify opportunities through prospecting, research, needs analysis, and defining requirements
Communicate all necessary information gathered during the sales process to the operations team for successful project transition.
Maintain current and accurate information in the CRM system for all customers and contacts
Effectively execute the sales strategies developed by management
Develop and maintain daily plans to maximize phone time, including pre-call planning, adhering to metrics and customized scripts based on prospect/inquiry type
Schedule appointments and work closely with Outside Sales Reps
Manage web chat tool by engaging live with web visitors
Education and Training
Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience in a professional office setting
Experience selling products and/or services over the phone highly desirable
Experience with software or materials sales preferred (either transactional or relationship sales cycles)
Demonstrated track record of success in achieving and exceeding assigned revenue goals
Experience in engineering and manufacturing industries highly desirable
Proven success in carrying a quota ($500K and up)
Familiar with using CRM. Salesforce is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communications skills required
Requires an ambitious and optimistic personality with a "can do" approach to selling in a competitive environment
Disciplined work ethic with sharp attention to detail
Highly developed problem solving skills with the determination to solve them in a timely manner
Must be able to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
