Job Title: Technical Program Manager – IT Service Management
Duration: Full Time/ Permanent 
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager – ITSM to help enhance and expand our existing addendum work with our client. Our team is passionate and dedicated to developing new opportunities and we are looking for a strong Project Manager to become a member of operations team.

Responsibilities:

•    Drive End to End Services co-ordination & Integration across programs

•    Establish robust Service reporting & Governance

•    Drive Run better and Services maturity across programs

•    Be the primary interface with SGO (Service Governance Organization – MDT) and participate in Tower level reviews

•    Be the bridge between MDT SGO & Cognizant Delivery Teams across programs

•    Governance – 60% and Delivery – 40% split in terms of time spent

•    Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects

•    Decide on suitable strategies and objectives

•    Coordinate cross-project activities

•    Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff

•    Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

•    Apply change, risk and resource management

•    Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors

•    Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

•    Resolve projects’ higher scope issues

•    Prepare reports for program directors

•    Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position

•    Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

•    Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles

•    Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage

•    Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

•    Excellent communication skills

•    Excellent problem-solving ability

Required Skills:

•    14+ years of demonstrated Infrastructure/ITSM project management experience leading and directing projects in Operations.

•    Experience in migration across multiple waves and experience as a single point of contact for the Application / Infrastructure / Data Center teams.

•    Must be able to communicate efficiently and be able to work with a diverse population.

•    Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented

•    Knowledge of computer terminology and various necessary software and hardware programs required.

•    Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and understand the importance of user satisfaction and apply it in the process of application development.

•    Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

•    Written and oral presentation skill, critical thinking and problem solving skills, planning and organizing, decision-making, communication skills, influencing and leading, delegation, team work, negotiation, conflict management, adaptability.

•    PMP certified or able to take the PMP test within 1 year of date of hire.

•    ITIL Certification

•    Proficient in project management software (MS Project).

•    Proficient with office products (MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
