Housekeeping Manager - The Ben at AU West Palm Beach in West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Description:

Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a natural in leading a team of guest room professionals. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the Director of Rooms in successfully leading the housekeeping team, maintaining excellent service scores, and supporting the company's aim to be "A Great Place to Work for All!"

The day-to-day?

• Manage a team of 15+ Room Care Attendants daily, while promoting positive team-morale.


• Deal promptly and effectively with escalated guest complaints and requests.


• Inspect public areas on a daily basis to ensure standards of cleanliness and being upheld.


• Inspect guest rooms--as needed.


• Conduct ongoing training of all housekeeping employees to increase job knowledge and skill-level.


• Lead pre-shift meetings, distribute keys and assignments to the staff, and ensure proper grooming standards are met.


• Communicate all policies and procedures for housekeeping and special cleaning projects.


• Ensure ready status of all rooms daily, while maintaining key control.

Needed to be successful in this position:

• Ability to coordinate department's activities with other departments to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.


• An elevated level awareness of guest satisfaction scores.


• Ability to resolve internal/external guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.


• Ability Perform daily inspections of guest villas and public space areas to help meet Guest Satisfaction Survey (GSS) goals.
