Fall 2021 Frisco Bowl Social Media Internship at Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas

All internships for FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium & Soccer Center are unpaid internships and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, and marketing industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.

The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Social Media Intern to assist the team with marketing initiatives of the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day-to-day objectives of the bowl game. The internship will take place from late August/early September and will run through the date of the game, or December 21, 2021.

What you’ll do:

· Assist in the development of social media strategies to increase overall awareness of FRISCO BOWL and its events.

· Integrate engaging market trends, best practices, insights, and recommendations into fan interactions.

· Assist in coordinating and posting the FRISCO BOWL’s social media exposure (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram).

· Assist in creation and execution of social media content.

· Create monthly social media calendars for the bowl.

· Create bowl countdown calendar to include all graphic designing.

· Assist in development and execution of all community program content.

· Assist with research, presentation and implementation of marketing plan and budget for FRISCO BOWL events.

· Assist in promotions as related to the FRISCO BOWL.

· Assist with creation of recap books of all media, collateral, and licensing items.

· Additional tasks as needed (i.e. – coordination of social media content with bowl game website).

· Constantly looking for innovative ways to engage fans and followers via Social Media platforms.

· A proactive thinker and capable of working under pressure while juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

· Required to be able to work a flexible schedule to include some nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule.

  

Minimum Requirements:

· Must be an active college student. Preferably pursing a degree and/or career in business-related areas, creative design, or journalism.

· Must receive college credit for internship with our company.

· Required to be fully vaccinated prior to their start date with FC Dallas this fall. 

· Excellent interpersonal plus verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator, Canva, and basic typing skills.

· Knowledge of photoshop, various social media platforms, and photo editing software a plus.
