The Merchandising Team Coordinator is responsible for working with the operations teams to uphold the merchandising standards within the company-operated locations, as well as identifying opportunities in store offerings, merchandising adjacencies, and customer flows. This role has a strong focus on cross-functional team communication and execution.

The primary focus as the Merchandising Team Coordinator will encompass visiting stores to review execution of layouts, planograms, and overall merchandising guidelines and directives. This role will work closely with the operations, category and vendor teams to maximize sales and profits through the improved execution of directives and programs. Additionally, this role will include special on-site projects such as resets and new store set-ups. As the Merchandising Team Coordinator, you should be organized, flexible, independent and detail-oriented.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Role


  • Capture detailed measurements and create accurate drawing for stores.

  • Leverage software to translate and capture digital drawings.

  • Assess customer flow and layout of stores.

  • Validation of displays, layout, and planograms.

  • Constant communication via Merchandising/ Category Management teams and the Operation team to address opportunities and create best store experience.

  • Become a pillar of support to the Store Managers for any and all merchandising questions and concerns.

  • Support in large resets, new store set-ups and any other special projects.

Team Support


  • This role works closely with Category Managers, Vendors & the Retail Space Team to address store specific opportunities.

  • Research and source local vendors and products for new stores in different geographies.

  • As priorities arise, the Merchandising Team Coordinator will have to redirect tasks and be flexible to changes in their schedule.

Additional Responsibilities


  • Overnight travel may be required at times

  • Portrays a positive image of the company at all times

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Retail Operation experience required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, retail merchandising, or similar area of focus

  • Proficient in MS Office Capable of making public presentations

  • Self-motivated and able to function well in an ambiguous environment where functional direction at times may be undetermined

  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
