Job Description:

Job Summary

• Responsible for financial analysis, budget preparation, financial control, forecasting, reporting and for evaluating alternate financial plans.


• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Summarizes detailed revenue/expense data and compare summarized claim data against fee schedules and contracts.


• Produce contract performance reports, modeling of reimbursement rates, evaluation of financial contract modifications and compiling and monitoring key managed care statistics.


• Research and prepare evaluations on a variety of projects/problems (financial, statistical, operational and cost/benefit analyses).


• Develop financial models; collect and evaluate data, analyze results. Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial payments/plans.


• Produce analyses/reports for department and/or management. Collect and evaluate data, develop and maintain financial models, analyze results and conduct scenario analyses to forecast balance sheet, cash flow and regulatory capital.


• Support rating agency relationships as needed (e.g., maintain rating agency models, validate report data, facilitate responses to inquiries, etc.).


• Support or perform daily cash desk activities, forecasting, and bank administration, as needed.


• Support or complete access audits and vendor/investment audit activities (e.g., SSAE18 reviews, compliance reporting, etc.).


• Support, and potentially lead, projects as a subject matter expert.


• Follow and conduct audit processes and review internal controls to ensure financial transactions are accurate, timely and comply with accounting standards, principles and company policy.


• Provides support for internal and external audits. Provide policy guidance and interpretation to ensure financial records are consistent and comply with company policies and GAAP.


• Summarize and present complex financial information to senior management from time to time.


• Identifies business process improvement opportunities, tests solutions, and revises desk level procedures to reflect changes. Identify opportunities to automate/digitize processes.


• Detailed process mapping to understand process gaps/opportunity areas. Identify projects to improve customer experience and SLA enhancement.


• Research and respond timely and accurately to customer (internal and external) inquiries.


• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.


• Typically, requires advanced knowledge of Finance and Accounting typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.


• May have practical knowledge of project management.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Possess the process knowledge and people skills to complete accurate assignments and communicate results.


• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups), Word, Access, and PowerPoint.


• May have relevant industry certifications or licenses (e.g., Certified Treasury Professional).
