Job Summary:

• The Principal NPI Design Engineering role in the R&D team will involve advancing the Quality initiatives for new product development across the R&D design organization.




• A key aspect of this role includes leveraging your design expertise and providing knowledge for Customer support. engagement and collaboration across functional teams.




• Strong technical, communication, and consensus building skills are required as well as a demonstrated ability to influence solutions across a global organization.




• Capability to interface with Customers is desired.




• The ideal candidate will partner with local and global SoC and IP developers to drive best practices with a target of ongoing Quality improvements.




• A strong ability to reduce problem space and to root-cause problems. A “zero-defect” and First Time Right mindset are key enablers.

• Have metric driven execution approach. Should be able to clearly define and track the objective, its measurement criteria and the end goal

• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely to various teams within and across the global divisions to effectively drive alignment across functions

Job Qualifications:

• BSEE / MSEE / PhD plus 10+ years’ experience in Semiconductor industry. 




• Must have experience working with SoC integration teams and know good integration practices




• Must be familiar with Silicon design flow from spec to tape out including design, layout and chip level verification and checks




• Must be knowledgeable of both analog and digital design fundamentals to enable debug of device failures




• Be Result Oriented.  Focus required on achieving aligned end goals, even in case of many distractions
