Job Description and Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Safety Supervisor you will be working to ensure compliance with both OSHA and the EVRAZ Safety Program, helping to drive continuous improvement of safety culture, and providing safety leadership to your mill.

• Administer company safety program


• Provide technical safety support for production and maintenance activities


• Conduct periodic workplace hazard assessments and safety inspections


• Identify and correct hazardous workplace conditions and at-risk situations


• Conduct workforce safety training


• Review written safety programs for effectiveness and compliance


• Coordinate and provide general support to safety committee activities


• Support and help administer the industrial hygiene program

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 or 4 year college degree with emphasis in occupational health and safety preferred


• Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations


• Strong leadership skills


• Strong written and oral communication skills


• Functional knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


• Health & Safety experience in a heavy industry;  manufacturing environment preferred


• Ability to professionally motivate and engage employees

Compensation

• $62,800 - $80,000
