This position will provide support to Proterra’s Human Resources department and will also support managers and employees across the company with general HR related questions and needs. You will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization.
About the Role – You will:
Serve as an HR Shared Services administrator
Process changes to employee records in Proterra’s HRIS to include new hires, terminations, promotions, supervisor changes, etc.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation
Assist with HR metrics and reporting
Answer frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, etc.; Refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
Assist with companywide HR training assignments to include status reports and follow up with managers
Assist with updating documented HR processes and procedures
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and maintained appropriately
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records
Other duties as assigned by management

You will report to the HR Shared Services Specialist and collaborate with other HR team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facilities in Los Angeles, CA and Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Prior related administrative experience
1+ years’ experience in human resources preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Prior experience or exposure to HRIS systems is a plus
Travel: 0 - 10%
