Huitt-Zollars' Ontario, CA office has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Project Manager/Civil Engineer in Urban Development and Public Works. This position can be located in Ontario, Irvine, or LA

Major Duties:

This Project Manager position should have experience in the management and design of a wide-range of land development and public works projects for various industrial, commercial and/or residential development projects. Must have the ability to work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise. Duties include initial project research, preparation of proposal/contract, preparation of project work plan and schedule, plan production and management of plan production staff, plan processing and management of plan processing efforts, construction administration and project close out efforts. Also coordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work.
Experience should include, but is not limited to, preparation of ALTA survey, boundary survey, conceptual grading and utility plans, preliminary and final Water Quality Management Plan, preliminary and final Drainage Study, Tentative Parcel Map, Final Parcel Map, Precise Grading, Drainage and Utility and associated plans, as well as street, sewer, water, and storm drain improvement plans.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
* BS Degree in Civil Engineering
* California PE with a minimum of 5-years of experience
* Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports
* Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision under the direction of a managing principal
* Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
* Ability to train staff and review work for quality assurance
* Solid leadership and management skills, self-motivated, and possess a strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems
* Skilled in Business Development
* Knowledge of CAD production and Civil3D a plus, Blue Beam and Advanced Engineering Design (AES) and/or Civil-d drainage software, Microsoft Office
* Highly organized and detail oriented
* Willingness/ability to assume increased responsibilities when presented
* Consistently deliver proactive communication with clients. When client issues arise, address or expeditiously escalate to discipline lead
* Develop relationships with clients that allows for ease in communications and problem solving
* Initiate and lead kickoff calls or high-level design calls with client in addition to preparing monthly forecasting and client cost estimates when appropriate
* Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions, effectively implement and document for internal and external stakeholders
